It’s time to learn about one of the greatest people in Maryland craft beer. He has an epic beard, he has an affinity for overalls, and he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.
He’s Gregory Lee McGrath, brewer and partner at Waverly Brewing Company in Baltimore.
Where do you get you inspiration for your beers and their names?
Life….. things I love and inspire me usually. The beer helps to pave the way. I feel the name begins the beer’s story.
If you could have a beer with any person dead or alive, who would it be and why?
It would definitely be with my father before Alzheimer’s. He is the sweetest, most brilliant man I know. He always said, “Find something you love and then find a way to make a living at it.” So I listened. I would give everything I am to have one more beer with him.
